If you long for a holiday that is far from the caos, concrete blocks and hustling and bustling of a city and you dream instead of being surrounded by nature and comfort, then this holiday villa is what you’ve been dreaming of.
Accomodation
The owners of this villa, Salvo and Miriam, strive to provide a relaxing yet fun holiday to their guests, be it a family holiday or an adventure with friends, and you’ll be constantly kissed by the sun on the Etna or chilling underneath a beautiful almond, walnut, apple, pear, fig or oak tree experiencing the beauty of the volcano (with its rumblings and if you are lucky, the spectacular show of lava fountains in the background).
The villa offers a large living room: in the more inner part you’ll find a dining table for 10 and a sideboard, on the outer side three comfortable sofas, one directly in front of a 69 inches tv, the other two at either side of the main sofa.
From the dining area, a door leads to the fully kitchen (you’ll find the oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, lavazza coffee machine) and two bathrooms both with shower (in one of them a 7Kg washing machine). In the same area you’ll find the first bedroom with wardrobe and a tv.
A french door in the kitchen leads to a patio with an outdoor dining area with table and chairs and a small outdoor fridge freezer. I’ll describe the garden and related services later.
A flight of stairs behind the indoor dining table leads to the first floor where two additional bedrooms are situated.
The first one on the left side of the stairs is called the “dormitory” and it’s a lot of fun for the yourger guests: it reminds of the 7 dwarves in snow white, only it’s got 6 beds instead of 7. The lower ceiling, the wooden floor and the essential furniture are reminiscent of a fairytale from Hans Christian Andersen or the Grimm brothers.
On the opposite side of this room you’ll find the master bedroom, smaller than the others but equally well presented. A double bed, two bedside tables, four chests of drawers and a tv are the few essencial items of furniture in the room. A surprise element giving this room a touch of magic is a round window opposite the door: it might appear out of place, more in tune with a nautical theme than a mountain one, but it’s in fact a thought through choice that has been placed there to create continuity with the outdoor and fuse the internal and external elements.
The tree that is already visible from the street when approaching the property and that grabs your attention as you go through the entrance gate looks like the platan tree in Harry Potter.
Two more bathrooms with shower can be found on the same floor, close to the bedrooms.
The outdoor and the green spaces of the property are the main feature of the property.
The Villa appears perfectly integrated in the nature that surrounds it, becoming one with the trees, the bushes and the big lawn situated on the left side of the entrance to the house. The property is full of hiding places where you can seek tranquillity to enjoy a good read, a moment of relax or even a pic nic.
The onwers have tried to create a complete harmony and balance between the building and the surroundings integrating the artificial elements (villa and furniture) with the nature they sit within. All of these become a unique architectural space as per the concept illustrated by the great architect Frank Lloyd Wright.
Bright and shady areas alternate; you’ll be enveloped by different shades of green that will make you feel a part of the surroundings.
Those who enjoy a bit of sport will also enjoy the additional facilities: a ping pong table, a basketball hoop.
All rooms have air conditioning and the wifi covers the entire area.
Soon there will also be a pool.
