Accomodation
Villa Kamarina is the main house of an farm built at the end of the 18th century, on the ruins of the Sacred Area of the Greek city Kamarina. The garden which slopes towards the sea has been designed so as to emphasize the feeling of free nature, with indigenous plants between which the ruins of the ancient Propileo of the Sacred Area show.
The main house is 200 sqm. On the ground floor, a large living room (approx 80 sqm) is decorated in a functional and comfortable fashion. 5 French window open onto the garden, the sea and the courtyard. The kitchen (approx 20 sqm) is equipped to accommodate 12 people. There is also a dishwasher, washing machine, a fridge and a freezer.
On the first floor (approx 100 sqm) four bedrooms. Two with double beds, with view on the sea, two with two single beds, two bathrooms with showers.
The annexe in the courtyard has been restructured into two bedrooms, one single and one double, each with its en-suite bathroom.
A terrace runs along the side of the house, giving onto the courtyard where pink and red hibiscus mix with jasmine. Sheltered from the sun in the morning, it is an ideal place to have breakfast or dinner.
The courtyard, with a 18th century well, is enclosed by a canopy at the end and the garden has been left in its natural state. Behind the annexe, a fig tree provides a welcome shade, and some delicious figs for breakfast. There is Wi-Fi coverage throughout.
